The Henrik Lyding Memorial Foundation elevates Danish performing arts by supporting new talent, outstanding artists and groundbreaking productions. In doing so, we keep alive the spirit and legacy of late theatre critic Henrik Lyding.
Every year on 7th May, Henrik Lyding’s birthday, we award the Harlequin statuette to performing artists across theatre, dance, musical, pantomime and revue in recognition of exceptional dedication and artistic integrity.
Alongside our annual awards, we offer production grants on an ongoing basis to stage projects that demonstrate artistic ambition, professional rigour and a clear creative vision. Applications are welcomed throughout the year.
The Henrik Lyding Memorial Foundation was established to carry forward his passion for the performing arts, supporting artists from emerging talent to distinguished practitioners, alongside groundbreaking productions that might otherwise go unrealised.
